Tom was very helpful and informative while he thoroughly inspected our new prospective home. Starting in the basement he meticulously went through all of the home's mechanical systems, including; electrical, heating, plumbing, sewer, hot water, propane fireplaces and heaters, etc. If I was unfamiliar with an aspect of a system he patiently took the time to explain certain features so I knew what I was buying and how it should be maintained. He thoroughly went through all appliances in the kitchen ensuring all were in satisfactory working condition, or noting if there was anything requiring repair to me verbally and also noting it in his official report. There was no floor, room, closet, drawer, door, appliance, light switch, fixed light, GFI plug, drain, stopper, etc., etc. that was not evaluated. If there was a deficiency it was documented in his final report. The day before the inspection the area received a couple of inches of snow impeding Tom's ability to inspect the roof shingles, gutters, flashing, etc. Tom offered to stop by 5 days later to inspect the roof on his own time and at no additional cost to me. After spending nearly 4 hours doing the first inspection and coming back for a follow up inspection of the roof, I cannot say enough how thorough Tom is ensuring every square inch of the home has been inspected. His thoroughness makes us much more confident that we are buying a quality home without any major issues to address day one. I highly recommend Tom and Beacon Fine Home Inspections for your next house inspection. Thank you Tom!

I would recommend Thomas to any new home buyer like us who are anxious about the whole process, which could definitely get overwhelming if this is your first time buying a home. Take my word for it and just hire him for the task and you wont regret it. i would also recommend Thomas to any home buyer/seller and needs home inspection. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He is well versed in state regulations and requirements. His reports are extremely DETAILED with pictures. I got a 78 page detailed report my self. He gives honest opinion on the condition of the home. Very patiently will also explain you what is happening and things he is looking at and why during the inspection. He has many many years of inspection experience and knows if something is not right by just looking at it. Hiring Thomas (from Beacon Fine Home Inspections, LLC) for home inspection would byfar the best decision you would make in the home buying journey.
